Meet Taylor

Hello! I’m Taylor E. Holthouse, and I come equipped with twelve years of experience as a language educator, specializing in ESL and Spanish instruction. After graduating from the University of Central Arkansas with a double major in Linguistics and Spanish, I moved to Mexico, where I lived for two years and taught English at a bilingual school. During that time, I worked with students ranging from preschool to adults, gaining valuable experience supporting learners at many stages of language development.

Since returning to the United States in 2016, I have worked as a Spanish teacher for grades K–8, helping students build strong foundations in language and culture. I currently serve as a Dual Language Immersion Specialist, where I collaborate with a dedicated community of educators to grow and strengthen programming at the secondary level and support students as they develop confidence in their academic skills.

I am passionate about fostering a love of reading and supporting literacy development, because strong literacy skills open doors for students and empower them to explore new ideas and opportunities.

On a personal note, I am the parent of a two-year-old daughter. We enjoy reading together, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and cooking. I also enjoy hiking in my free time. As a parent, it is important to me that my child is happy, healthy, and learning new things, and that same philosophy guides my work with students. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning can grow.
