Meet Chris

Hi, I'm Chris Nyambura. With my background in chemical engineering, I have had a strong passion for chemistry and mathematics. I have been tutoring high school and college-level students for the last 10 years on all levels of chemistry and math, along with some high school-level physics concepts. I find molecules to be beautiful and interesting structures that follow very specific rules. They tell the story of our world and the environment. I enjoy tutoring chemistry because I hope that students will also see the beauty of atoms, electrons, and molecules.

I went to the University of California, Santa Barbara for my B.S. in chemical engineering. I went on to pursue my M.S. and Ph.D. in chemical engineering at the University of Washington, receiving my Ph.D. in August 2022. On my spare time, I like to do community work, boxing twice a week, and play some table tennis. I enjoy seeing students succeed and I look forward to making a continued impact on students in my community.
